CEO/President of NEEDS
Andy Fox spent 20 years in the corrugated packaging industry handling sales, sales management, and general management responsibilities for several Fortune 500 companies. His 2001 marriage to his partner Wendy Meyerson led to a welcome career change that brought Andy into the natural products industry. He has since served as the President/CEO of NEEDS, Inc. while also providing ongoing business consulting guidance to the Natur-Tyme organization on a 24/7 basis! Through Andy’s leadership, the companies’ newest segment, Natural Dispensary, was developed in 2009 and Andy has been the catalyst for the combination of all of the organizations under one roof at 3160 Erie Boulevard East. Andy holds an MBA in Finance and Management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

Shelly Dunham has been an integral part of Natur-Tyme’s family since she was 18 years old. She graduated from West Genesee High School in 1989 and the following year began working for Natur-Tyme’s sister organization, NEEDS, directly under Wendy Meyerson’s father, Stan. Shortly after she began her employment she moved into the role of Executive Coordinator, and as NEEDS grew from a company of three employees to a company of over 20 employees, Shelly became the Customer Service Manager. For many years, Shelly traveled with Stan to various trade shows across the country as a representative of NEEDS. In 2008, Shelly transferred to Natur-Tyme to become the Store Manager and since then has been devoted to making sure the organization runs smoothly and that our customers receive the world class customer service they have grown to expect from Natur-Tyme.

Andrew Lamphere grew up in the Mohawk Valley. He graduated from West Canada Valley Central High School and moved to Syracuse in 2005 to attend OCC in pursuit of a music career. He was offered a cashier position at Natur-Tyme and has since worked his way up the corporate ladder. While music was Andrew’s initial career goal and nursing was a career he also dabbled with, he is passionate about his management career here at Natur-Tyme and he is immensely dedicated to making sure our customers are satisfied. Andrew’s commitment to sustainability is a great asset to Natur-Tyme; he was one of the youngest delegates to attend the World Summit on Sustainable Development in South Africa in 2002. Andrew has also taken Dale Carnegie management courses to supplement his managerial training. In his spare time, he likes to exercise, play his French horn, and spend time with friends, family, and his partner.

Mako Menkins grew up in Clay, NY, and graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse High School in 2003. She immediately attended OCC to study art animation. As part of her studies, she completed an art internship at Walt Disney World in Florida and moved back to the Central New York area because she deeply missed the snow! Upon her return, she started working at Natur-Tyme as a cashier and then began to assist in stocking and grocery buying. After working as the Front End Customer Service Manager, Mako has been recently promoted to the 2nd Assistant Manager position as she takes on additional Management Team responsibilities.

Carol Blair Nicotra, BS, CNC, DiHom
Carol Blair Nicotra has a bachelor’s of science degree and is also certified in nutrition and homeopathy. She has been at Natur-Tyme for 14 years. During this time she has counseled over 6,000 clients, written many articles and blogs, given talks on various topics, and has also been a guest on several of Wendy’s Nutritional Insights radio shows. She often answers doctors’ questions regarding herbs and supplements and has a close connection with and receives referrals from several MDs. Carol feels continuing education is of the utmost importance and hones her skills by spending many evenings researching or reading integrative medicine articles. She also attends as many seminars, workshops, and webinars as her schedule will permit.

We are pleased to introduce you to Jessica Yongsma, our Purchasing Manager. Jessica grew up here in the Central New York area. She decided to pursue her passion for food and attended Paul Smith College, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts and Service Management in 2004. Jessica became a successful Food Services Director for various local businesses and relocated to Denver, Colorado, where she held a leadership role for a large, national food retailer. After returning to the area, Jessica joined the Natur-Tyme family.
Jessica's most recent role with Natur-Tyme has been our Tyme-Out Café/Grocery Manager, where she helped implement some of the exciting programs you see at Natur-Tyme and delicious menu items served at our café. We are excited to have Jessica take on the role of Purchasing Manager where she will continue to assist in providing our customers with the best, high-quality products available.
Wendy Meyerson is the owner of Natur-Tyme, carrying on the legacy of her father Stan Meyerson’s commitment to health and wellness. Wendy is passionate about educating the Central New York community on how to become healthier and happier. She is wholeheartedly committed to empowering individuals to take control of their health. She provides the Central New York community with significant learning experiences through annual health fairs, day-long speaker forums, and informative community events, often times for FREE. For 12 years, Wendy hosted Nutritional Insights, a local radio show broadcast every Sunday on 570 WSYR. On this show, Wendy interviewed everyone from local specialists to internationally-renowned experts like Dr. Andrew Weil and Deepak Chopra.
Wendy and her store have won numerous local and national awards. In 2012, at the 10th Annual WISE (Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship) Symposium, Wendy Meyerson was presented with the Ann Michel Award, recognizing her outstanding leadership, her entrepreneurial spirit, and her commitment to the Central New York community. Previously in 2008, Wendy was chosen as a winner of the Syracuse Women in Business Award. Her dedication to providing Central New York with unparalleled health information and services led the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce to select Natur-Tyme as the recipient of its 2009 Business of the Year Award for companies with fewer than 50 employees. Additionally, Natur-Tyme has also received national recognition outside of the Upstate NY region. Wholefoods Magazine, the country’s most prestigious health food store trade magazine, named Natur-Tyme the 2011 Retailer of the Year.
